BJP’s Decade-Long Journey in Poverty Alleviation: A Closer Look

COOCH BEHAR – In a recent public rally in Cooch Behar, Prime Minister Narendra Modi highlighted the BJP government’s achievements in poverty alleviation, stating that the party has lifted 25 crore people out of poverty in the last ten years.

The Prime Minister’s statement comes as a stark contrast to the Congress party’s ‘Garibi Hatao’ (Eradicate Poverty) campaign, which, according to PM Modi, has been less effective despite being a long-standing political slogan.

PM Modi attributed the BJP’s success in poverty alleviation to the party’s sincerity and right intentions (‘niyat’). He emphasized that the BJP government’s dedicated efforts and commitment to the welfare of the people have resulted in this substantial reduction in poverty.

The Prime Minister’s remarks have sparked a renewed discussion on the effectiveness of the government’s poverty alleviation programs and their impact on the nation’s socio-economic landscape.

As the BJP continues to underscore its achievements, the focus remains on the party’s commitment to fostering an inclusive and prosperous India.
