Maharashtra – Union Minister and BJP candidate from Nagpur, Nitin Gadkari, made a fervent appeal to voters today, urging them to participate in the “country’s biggest festival” – the Lok Sabha Elections 2024.
Gadkari, who is seeking re-election, addressed the citizens of Nagpur with great enthusiasm. He acknowledged the high temperatures in the region but encouraged voters to come out early and cast their votes. “Last time there was 54 per cent voting, this time our resolve is to take the voting percentage to 75 per cent,” he said.
The Union Minister expressed confidence in his victory, stating, “I will definitely win this election by a very big margin.”
The electoral battle in Nagpur is set to be intense as the Maha Vikas Aghadi (MVA) has fielded Congress leader Vikas Thakre against Gadkari. Thakre, a prominent figure in Maharashtra politics, is expected to give a tough fight to the incumbent Union Minister.
As Nagpur gears up for the elections, the focus is on the voter turnout. With leaders like Gadkari emphasizing the importance of voting, it remains to be seen if his appeal will translate into a higher voter turnout this year.
