PM Modi Applauds CDRI’s Progress at International Conference on Disaster Resilient Infrastructure

Prime Minister Narendra Modi, in his address at the ‘International Conference on Disaster Resilient Infrastructure 2024: Investing Today for a More Resilient Tomorrow’ held at Bharat Mandapam, commended the significant strides made by the Coalition for Disaster Resilient Infrastructure (CDRI).

“Over the years, the CDRI has made remarkable progress,” said PM Modi. “Since its inception in 2019, it has grown into a global coalition representing 39 countries and 7 organizations. This expansion reflects a promising trajectory for our collective resilience efforts.”

Established in 2019, the CDRI has evolved into a global coalition comprising 39 member countries and 7 affiliated organizations. Its overarching objective is to advocate for the resilience of infrastructure, both new and existing, against climate and disaster risks, thereby fostering sustainable development.

Under the theme ‘Investing Today for a More Resilient Tomorrow’, the conference convened global leaders, experts, and stakeholders to exchange insights and best practices aimed at enhancing infrastructure resilience in the face of disasters.
