Maharashtra – Maharashtra Chief Minister Eknath Shinde responded to Shiv Sena UBT chief Uddhav Thackeray’s alleged ‘neech’ remarks during an election rally in Buldhana.
“Yesterday he (Uddhav Thackeray) said that Eknath Shinde is ‘neech’. You abuse me by calling me ‘neech’. If a farmer’s son, a common labourer becomes the chief minister then you don’t like it, you are unable to digest it,” said CM Eknath Shinde.
The Chief Minister’s comments come in response to Thackeray’s alleged derogatory remarks. Shinde, who hails from a humble background, took the comments as an affront to his roots and his rise to the position of Chief Minister.
Shinde’s remarks highlight the ongoing political tension in Maharashtra. His words underscore the struggle of common people rising to positions of power and the resistance they face from established political figures.
The Chief Minister’s response has sparked a new wave of discussions about class and power dynamics in Indian politics. His words serve as a reminder of the potential for individuals from all walks of life to achieve high office and the challenges they may face along the way.
