Maharashtra Deputy Chief Minister Ajit Pawar has shared his views on the Prime Ministerial candidate for the INDIA alliance. His comments come amidst the ongoing political discussions and speculations around the next Prime Ministerial face.
Pawar stated, “More than 65% of people of the country say that they want PM Modi to be the PM.” This statement reflects the popularity and acceptance of the current Prime Minister Narendra Modi among the masses. It also indicates the challenges that the INDIA alliance might face in presenting a strong contender for the PM’s post.
He further added, “Everyone was taking the name of Nitish Kumar in 2019. But Nitish Kumar is now with PM Modi.” Nitish Kumar, the Chief Minister of Bihar, was considered a strong candidate in the 2019 elections. However, his current alliance with PM Modi suggests a shift in the political dynamics.
Pawar also mentioned that there is no such name right now who can be considered as a strong contender for the PM’s post from the INDIA alliance. He said, “Right now no such name is there.”
In a direct comparison between Rahul Gandhi and PM Modi, Pawar stated, “You cannot compare Rahul Gandhi with PM Modi.” This statement might be indicative of the perceived difference in political stature between the two leaders.
The comments by the Deputy CM have stirred up discussions and debates in the political circles. It remains to be seen how the scenario unfolds as the country moves closer to the next general elections.
