Mumbai – In the wake of the recent hoarding collapse incident in Ghatkopar, BJP leader Kirit Somaiya has demanded stringent action against Bhavesh Bhinde, the proprietor of Ego Media, who he alleges is responsible for the mishap.
According to Somaiya, Bhinde has absconded with his family following the incident. “I have demanded the police to declare him a fugitive,” Somaiya stated. He further alleged that Bhinde’s company, Ego Media, has erected more than two dozen illegal hoardings across the city.
Somaiya has called upon Maharashtra Chief Minister Eknath Shinde and Deputy Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis to take immediate action. He has urged them to conduct a thorough inspection and remove all the illegal hoardings that were put up in 2020, 2021, and 2022 in Mumbai.
The Ghatkopar hoarding collapse has sparked a debate on the safety and legality of outdoor advertising in the city. The incident has highlighted the need for stricter regulations and enforcement to prevent such mishaps in the future.
As the city awaits action from the authorities, the residents of Mumbai hope for a safer and more regulated outdoor advertising environment.
