Maharashtra Deputy Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis has publicly accused the previous Mahavikas Aghadi (MVA) government of orchestrating a conspiracy to imprison him and other leaders through fabricated cases. In a statement made today, Fadnavis claimed that efforts were made during the MVA regime to frame him and his associates, but these attempts were ultimately thwarted.
Addressing the media, Fadnavis asserted, “During the Mahavikas Aghadi government, a deliberate conspiracy was hatched to arrest me by making false cases. We were successful in exposing these conspiracies at that time, and we even provided video evidence to the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI). We still have many such video proofs today.”
The Deputy CM elaborated on the alleged plot, stating that certain officials were assigned the task of implicating several leaders, including himself, Girish Mahajan, and Praveen Darekar, in false charges. According to Fadnavis, some officers were willing to pursue these fabricated cases, but the plans were derailed by other officials who refused to cooperate.
