Maharashtra BJP chief Chandrashekhar Bawankule has leveled serious allegations against the Maha Vikas Aghadi (MVA), accusing the coalition of attempting to incite communal disputes as the state approaches its Vidhan Sabha elections. In a statement made today, Bawankule criticized the MVA, which comprises the Shiv Sena, the Nationalist Congress Party (NCP), and the Congress, alleging that the coalition is engaging in divisive tactics to sway the electorate. “14.5 crore people know that Maha Vikas Aghadi is trying to incite dispute among different communities as Vidhan Sabha elections are approaching,” Bawankule said.
He contrasted the current political climate with the time when Congress was in power, suggesting that such tensions were not prevalent. “When Congress’ government was formed, such incidents never happened as there was no dirty politics in the opposition,” Bawankule argued. “Whenever the government is formed against Congress, be it at the country or state level, they become ready to spoil the society. They work to damage the government and spread confusion among the people.”
