Eknath Shinde Slams Opposition Over Questions on Operation Sindoor

Maharashtra Deputy Chief Minister Eknath Shinde strongly criticized the Opposition for demanding a terror kill count following Operation Sindoor, launched in response to the Pahalgam terror attack. Speaking to the media on Tuesday, Shinde said, “At a time when the Prime Minister is taking revenge for those whose ‘sindoor’ was removed, the Opposition is asking how many terrorists were killed. They should be ashamed.”

He emphasized that national unity should be paramount during such critical moments and that the courage shown by Prime Minister Narendra Modi and the Indian Armed Forces deserves appreciation, not skepticism.

Shinde pointed out the contrast in political will, questioning why no strong action was taken after the 26/11 Mumbai terror attacks. “Why did the then government not stand with the people and respond with strength? Why didn’t they strike back?” he asked.

Backing the central government’s handling of the situation, Shinde lauded the armed forces for their precise and bold action against Pakistan’s terror infrastructure. He urged all political parties to put aside their differences and stand in solidarity with the armed forces and the country.
