Assam NDA MPs Express Gratitude to PM Modi for Developmental Achievements

Union Minister of Ports, Shipping, and Waterways Sarbananda Sonowal, along with other NDA MPs from Assam, met with Prime Minister Narendra Modi in Delhi today. The primary focus of the meeting was to extend their thanks for the recent significant developments and support provided by the central government to the state of Assam.

The MPs conveyed their appreciation for several major initiatives:

  1. Flood Relief Package: The MPs lauded the central government for the comprehensive flood relief package included in this year’s budget. This support is intended to address the challenges posed by frequent flooding in Assam and assist in the recovery of affected communities.
  2. UNESCO Heritage Status for Charaideo Moidams: They expressed their gratitude for the UNESCO World Heritage Site status granted to the Charaideo Moidams. This recognition is a significant boost for the preservation of Assam’s rich cultural heritage and is expected to enhance tourism and global recognition.
  3. North East’s Semiconductor Plant: The establishment of the region’s first semiconductor plant was another highlight.
