BJP MLA Ram Kadam Accuses Uddhav Thackeray Government of Negligence in Sushant Singh Rajput Case

Mumbai, Maharashtra – BJP MLA Ram Kadam has once again raised his voice over the handling of the Sushant Singh Rajput case, accusing the Uddhav Thackeray-led government of deliberate negligence and obstructing the investigation. In a pointed statement, Kadam criticized the Thackeray administration for allegedly obstructing the call for a CBI probe into the death of the Bollywood actor, which has been mired in controversy and conspiracy theories since his untimely passing in June 2020.

Kadam specifically took issue with the Thackeray government’s actions when the Bihar Police arrived in Mumbai to investigate the case. “When the entire country was demanding that Sushant Singh Rajput’s case be handed over to CBI, the Uddhav Thackeray government deliberately showed negligence. When Bihar Police came to Mumbai for investigation, they too were stopped. What was the reason?” Kadam asked, implying that the delay in a CBI investigation was intentional.

Further accusing the state government of trying to protect certain individuals, Kadam claimed that crucial evidence in the case was destroyed. “To save the people of Uddhav Thackeray’s government, all evidence was erased. Furniture at Sushant’s residence was removed, it was painted, and it was returned to the actual owner,” he alleged. The BJP MLA pointed to this as an indication of foul play, claiming that efforts were made to tamper with the evidence in the case.

Kadam also took aim at leaders who, he said, had supported Rhea Chakraborty, who was at the center of the controversy surrounding Rajput’s death. “When you erase all evidence, your leaders stand as spokespersons of Rhea Chakraborty—what is the meaning of all this?” Kadam questioned, further fueling the ongoing debate surrounding the case and the involvement of various political figures.

The BJP MLA also drew attention to the plight of Disha Salian, the former manager of Sushant Singh Rajput, whose death occurred shortly before the actor’s. Kadam highlighted the concerns raised by Disha’s father, who has repeatedly claimed that his daughter did not receive justice. “What is the reason for Disha Salian’s father to feel that his daughter didn’t get justice?” Kadam asked, linking the two high-profile cases and accusing the Thackeray government of being complicit in a larger cover-up.

In his statement, Kadam strongly asserted that had the Uddhav Thackeray government handed over the investigation to the CBI at the right time, Sushant’s family would have received justice by now. “Had Uddhav Thackeray handed over the case to CBI at the right time, Sushant’s family would have definitely received justice. If they are not getting justice today, Uddhav Thackeray government is responsible for it,” he concluded, holding the state government directly accountable for the ongoing lack of resolution in the case.

The Sushant Singh Rajput case continues to generate intense political and public debate, with both the Thackeray-led Shiv Sena and the BJP accusing each other of using the case for political mileage. With the BJP’s strong condemnation of the state government’s actions, this controversy is likely to remain a significant point of contention in Maharashtra’s political landscape.
