Maharashtra Chief Minister Eknath Shinde dismissed allegations leveled by the opposition regarding the Union Budget’s purported lack of allocation for Maharashtra. Responding to criticisms, CM Shinde labeled the claims as misinformation and accused the opposition of habitually spreading false narratives.

“It is all lies. It has become their habit to spread fake narratives,” CM Eknath Shinde stated emphatically, addressing concerns raised by the opposition regarding Maharashtra’s purported neglect in the Union Budget 2024. He emphasized that the budget comprehensively covered all sections of society, ensuring inclusive growth and development across the nation.

Highlighting the budget’s merits, CM Shinde pointed out, “All sections of society were covered under this Union Budget. The Opposition should have welcomed this Budget as priority has been given to 9 sectors.” He asserted that the budget’s focus on these sectors would also benefit the Maharashtra government, aligning with its developmental goals.

Furthermore, CM Shinde clarified that none of Maharashtra’s proposals had been rejected by the Central government, emphasizing Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s commitment to the state’s development. “Modi ji is for the development of Maharashtra,” CM Shinde affirmed, reiterating the central government’s support and cooperation with the state’s initiatives.

The remarks by CM Eknath Shinde come amidst political debates and criticisms regarding the allocation and prioritization of funds in the Union Budget, particularly concerning Maharashtra’s interests. His statement aims to refute allegations of neglect and reassure the public about the equitable distribution of resources under the current fiscal plan.

As discussions continue, CM Shinde’s proactive stance seeks to uphold transparency and accountability in governmental policies while emphasizing collaborative efforts between Maharashtra and the Central government to promote overall socio-economic progress.
