Maharashtra Deputy Chief Minister Eknath Shinde has announced that several office bearers of Uddhav Thackeray’s Shiv Sena from the Bhiwandi, Kalyan, and Thane districts have joined the Shiv Sena faction led by him. Shinde highlighted the growing support for his faction, stating that the people have renewed faith in Shiv Sena under his leadership.
“Many office bearers of Uddhav Thackeray Shiv Sena from Bhiwandi, Kalyan and Thane districts have joined Shiv Sena today. People have faith in Shiv Sena,” Shinde said, underscoring the rising popularity of his faction.
Shinde also made a pointed remark about the opposition’s response to electoral defeats, specifically targeting Uddhav Thackeray’s faction. “We will make sure that those who sit at home remain at home. When they lose, they blame EVMs,” he added, suggesting that the loss of the Uddhav Thackeray faction in previous elections was due to their own shortcomings, rather than any external factors.
The comments come amid ongoing political tensions and factionalism within Shiv Sena, with both the Shinde and Thackeray camps fighting for supremacy in Maharashtra politics. Shinde’s remarks reflect his confidence in the growing strength of his faction and his commitment to consolidating support in key districts.
