Maharashtra Dy CM Eknath Shinde Slams Pakistan PM Shehbaz Sharif’s UNGA Speech

Reacting sharply to Pakistan Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif’s remarks at the United Nations General Assembly (UNGA), Maharashtra Deputy Chief Minister Eknath Shinde dismissed the statements as hollow and provocative. Addressing reporters in Mumbai, Shinde said, “No one will be intimidated by the Pakistan PM’s bluff. A jackal doesn’t become a lion by wearing a lion’s skin. There is only one lion, and that lion’s name is Narendra Modi. Pakistan should stay within its limits.”

Shinde’s strong words reflect India’s growing confidence on the global stage and reaffirm the government’s stance against cross-border rhetoric. He emphasized that Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s decisive leadership has ensured India’s security, strengthened its international presence, and left no room for intimidation from Pakistan’s repeated attempts to raise bilateral issues in global forums.

The Maharashtra Deputy CM added that Pakistan’s continued efforts to deflect attention from its own domestic challenges will not deter India’s focus on development, national security, and global diplomacy. His remarks come at a time when India’s assertive foreign policy has earned widespread recognition, with PM Modi consistently calling for peace, dialogue, and zero tolerance toward terrorism.

Shinde’s statement underscores the prevailing sentiment within India’s political leadership that Pakistan’s provocations will be met with strength and clarity, reinforcing New Delhi’s firm diplomatic position.
