MUMBAI – The cricketing world was left in shock as Amol Kale, the president of the Mumbai Cricket Association (MCA), passed away due to a cardiac arrest in New York on June 10th.
Kale, a stalwart of Mumbai cricket, was known for his dedication and commitment to the sport. His sudden demise has left a void in the cricketing fraternity that will be hard to fill.
Maharashtra Deputy Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis and state BJP president Chandrashekhar Bawankule paid their last respects to Kale at his residence in Mumbai. They expressed their condolences to the bereaved family and lauded Kale’s contributions to cricket in the city and the state.
“Amol Kale’s passing is a great loss to cricket. His passion and dedication towards the sport were unparalleled. He will be deeply missed,” said Deputy CM Fadnavis.
State BJP president Bawankule echoed similar sentiments, stating, “Amol Kale was a pillar of Mumbai cricket. His efforts to promote the sport at the grassroots level have been remarkable. His demise is a huge loss for us all.”
The MCA, in a statement, expressed its deep sorrow over the untimely demise of its president. “We are deeply saddened by the loss of our president, Mr. Amol Kale. His contributions to Mumbai cricket were immense, and his vision for the sport was truly inspiring. He will be sorely missed,” the statement read.
