Maharashtra – Prime Minister Narendra Modi, while addressing a public rally in Nandurbar, Maharashtra, levelled serious allegations against the Congress party, accusing them of disseminating lies in the current election campaign. He suggested that the opposition party has resorted to a “factory of lies” as they are unable to rival him on the development agenda.
“Congress understands that they cannot compete with Modi on development, and hence, they have initiated a ‘factory’ of lies in this election,” PM Modi declared, directly confronting the opposition party.
The Prime Minister also discussed the contentious issue of religion-based reservation. He contended that the Congress party’s advocacy for religion-based reservation is in direct opposition to the principles of Dr. B.R. Ambedkar, the key architect of the Indian Constitution.
“Congress’ approach to reservation is like ‘chor machaye shor’. Religion-based reservation is against the principle of Babasaheb Ambedkar. It’s akin to betraying those who framed the Constitution, a sin that is beyond quantification,” PM Modi articulated.
The Prime Minister’s statements have further intensified the political climate of the ongoing elections. The opposition is expected to counter these charges soon.
The impending election results will determine whether PM Modi’s allegations have struck a chord with the voters.
