Prime Minister Narendra Modi, addressing a public gathering in Pilibhit, Uttar Pradesh, launched a blistering attack on the INDI alliance parties, accusing them of having a long-standing opposition to the construction of the Ram Temple.
“INDI alliance parties have always shown their disdain for the construction of the Ram Temple,” Modi stated. “They not only rejected the ‘Pran Pratishtha’ invite but also insulted Ram Lalla. Their party members who attended the ceremony faced a suspension of six years.”
Modi further targeted the Congress party, alleging that it is deeply rooted in appeasement politics. “Congress is so engrossed in appeasement politics that they seem unable to extricate themselves from it,” he remarked. “Their manifesto seems to mirror that of the Muslim League rather than their own.”
The Prime Minister also took a swipe at the Congress and Samajwadi Party (SP) for their protests against the Citizenship Amendment Act (CAA). “If India doesn’t grant citizenship to the persecuted minorities from neighbouring countries, then who will?” he asked.
The rally was held amidst the ongoing political campaigning in Uttar Pradesh, with all parties making concerted efforts to attract voters. The Prime Minister’s comments are expected to add fuel to the already heated political environment in the state.
