Prime Minister Narendra Modi, during a public meeting in Shravasti, Uttar Pradesh, made a series of statements about his government’s accomplishments and issued a stern warning about the opposition’s plans.
Modi started his address by emphasizing his government’s dedication to the poor. He stated that his government has provided homes to 4 crore underprivileged people. However, he expressed concern that the SP-Congress alliance might undo these achievements. “They will take the keys of these 4 crore houses, snatch the houses and give them to their vote bank,” he warned.
The Prime Minister also highlighted the Jan Dhan Yojana, a financial inclusion initiative of his government, which has resulted in more than 50 crore poor people opening bank accounts. He expressed apprehension that the opposition might close these accounts and seize the money.
Modi further underscored his government’s efforts in rural electrification, asserting that they have brought electricity to every village. However, he warned that the opposition could cut off the electricity connections, plunging these areas back into darkness.
Lastly, he spoke about his government’s initiative to provide water to every home. He warned that the SP-Congress alliance might even deprive people of this basic necessity. “SP-Congress people will even open the water tap of your house and take it away and they are experts in this,” he said.
The Prime Minister’s address was a blend of showcasing his government’s achievements and cautioning the public about the potential actions of the opposition. The impact of these statements on the political scenario in the coming days is yet to be seen.
