Prime Minister Narendra Modi today inaugurated the new campus of Nalanda University in Rajgir, Bihar, marking a historic moment in the restoration of one of the world’s most ancient and esteemed centers of learning. The event saw the presence of Union External Affairs Minister Dr. S. Jaishankar, Bihar Chief Minister Shri Nitish Kumar, and other prominent dignitaries.
Originally established in the 5th century, Nalanda University was a pioneering institution of higher learning, attracting scholars from all over Asia and beyond. The new campus aims to resurrect this illustrious past, combining historical legacy with modern educational excellence.

Union External Affairs Minister Dr. S. Bihar Chief Minister Shri Nitish Kumar praised the collaborative efforts that led to the development of the new campus.
