Union Minister Kiren Rijiju has expressed his satisfaction at participating in the conclusion of the Save Constitution Yatra, which has been touring Maharashtra for the past month. Addressing supporters, Rijiju emphasized the primary goal of the Yatra: educating the public about perceived threats to the Indian Constitution.
“The essence of the Yatra is to raise awareness about those who pose dangers to the Constitution of India,” Rijiju stated. He criticized the Congress party and its allies, accusing them of undermining both the Constitution and the democratic values it represents. Rijiju alleged that from the time of Pandit Jawahar Lal Nehru to the current Congress leadership, the party has consistently shown a lack of belief in the spirit of the Constitution and democracy.
Rijiju further accused Congress of being a “family-run party” that prioritizes dynastic leadership over merit and performance. His comments reflect ongoing political tensions and debates over the role and effectiveness of various political parties in upholding democratic principles.
The Save Constitution Yatra has garnered significant attention, with Rijiju’s remarks underscoring the contentious nature of current political discourse. As the Yatra wraps up, the debate over the protection of constitutional values and the role of different political entities continues to resonate across the country.
