PM Modi Meets Austrian Chancellor Karl Nehammer in Vienna

Vienna, Austria: Prime Minister Narendra Modi arrived in Austria from Moscow on a two-day visit, marking the first visit by an Indian prime minister to Austria in over 40 years. The visit holds special significance as it coincides with the celebration of 75 years of diplomatic relations between India and Austria.

During his visit, PM Modi met Austrian Chancellor Karl Nehammer for a private engagement. The two leaders discussed ways to strengthen bilateral ties and cooperate on various geopolitical challenges. Chancellor Nehammer expressed his anticipation for the meeting, stating, “This visit is a special honor as it marks the first visit by an Indian Prime Minister in over 40 years.”

The discussions centered around common principles of democracy, freedom, and the rule of law. Both nations pledged to forge a deeper relationship based on these shared values. PM Modi’s arrival was met with warmth by members of the Indian diaspora, who greeted him during a dinner hosted by Chancellor Nehammer.

In addition to meeting Chancellor Nehammer, PM Modi is scheduled to visit Alexander Van der Bellen, President of the Republic of Austria. Business executives from both countries will also engage in discussions, further enhancing the bilateral partnership.

As India and Austria continue to strengthen their friendship, this historic meeting sets the stage for deeper cooperation and collaboration in the years to come.
