Maharashtra Deputy CM Devendra Fadnavis Launches Namo Express, Celebrates Cultural Pride

Mumbai: Maharashtra Deputy Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis inaugurated the Namo Express today, marking a significant milestone in the state’s cultural and religious landscape. Speaking at the ceremony, Fadnavis underscored the importance of the ‘Pandharichi Vari,’ a revered pilgrimage in Maharashtra.

“The Namo Express has been flagged off today, symbolizing our commitment to enhancing pilgrimage experiences for Maharashtra’s residents,” Fadnavis announced proudly. The train service, named in honor of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, aims to facilitate seamless travel for pilgrims to Pandharpur, a spiritual hub in Maharashtra known for its annual ‘Pandharichi Vari.’

Fadnavis reiterated the cultural significance of ‘Pandharichi Vari,’ describing it as a source of pride for the people of Maharashtra. “We all know that ‘Pandharichi Vari’ is the pride of the people of Maharashtra,” he emphasized, highlighting the pilgrimage’s deep-rooted traditions and spiritual importance.

The launch of the Namo Express aligns with efforts to improve transportation infrastructure and accessibility for devotees participating in the Pandharpur pilgrimage. The initiative is expected to streamline travel logistics and enhance the overall pilgrimage experience, benefiting thousands of devotees who embark on the journey each year.

Acknowledging the collaborative efforts involved in realizing the Namo Express project, Fadnavis expressed gratitude to all stakeholders and participants. “This initiative reflects our commitment to serving the people and preserving Maharashtra’s rich cultural heritage,” he added.
