Maharashtra Deputy CM Devendra Fadnavis Announces Bhoomi Pujan for Integrated Solar Plant

Date:

Mumbai, India – Maharashtra Deputy Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis has officiated the bhoomi pujan (groundbreaking ceremony) for a state-of-the-art integrated solar plant by Avaada Group, marking a significant step in the state’s renewable energy initiative. During the ceremony, Fadnavis highlighted the project’s potential to enhance solar energy production in Maharashtra.

“This is one of the most advanced projects of its kind,” Fadnavis stated, emphasizing the complete integration of solar units being established at the site. He noted that the efficiency of the products produced at this facility will surpass that of current solar technologies, paving the way for more effective renewable energy solutions.

The Deputy CM outlined the state’s ambitious plan to implement approximately 20,000 megawatts (MW) of solar capacity across Maharashtra. “This will be highly beneficial towards our solarisation goals,” he affirmed, underscoring the government’s commitment to expanding its renewable energy footprint.

Fadnavis also mentioned that production at the new solar plant is slated to begin by April 2025, promising a boost to the local economy and the state’s renewable energy capabilities.

As Maharashtra positions itself as a leader in solar energy, this project is expected to play a pivotal role in the state’s transition towards sustainable energy and reducing carbon emissions. The Deputy CM’s remarks reflect a broader vision of harnessing renewable resources to meet energy demands while promoting environmental responsibility.
