Date:

Actor and BJP leader Dinesh Lal Yadav, popularly known as Nirahua, on Sunday shared his enthusiasm after being appointed captain in the Bhojpuri Industry Premier League (BIPL), calling it a new and exciting responsibility in his sporting journey.

Speaking about the tournament, Yadav said this would be his first opportunity to lead a team since joining the league. He added that team selection decisions were taken after discussions with the coach and vice-captain Aditya Ojha, with a focus on building a balanced and competitive squad. Yadav acknowledged the strength of rival teams, naming players such as Manoj Tiwari, Ravi Kishan, and Pravesh Lal Yadav, and said a strong team combination would be key to putting up an effective contest.

The Bhojpuri Industry Premier League features actors and personalities from the Bhojpuri film industry and has gained popularity as a blend of sport and entertainment, drawing significant audience interest.

Separately, commenting on Pakistan’s participation in the upcoming ICC Men’s T20 World Cup, Yadav said that participation in global tournaments is important for all teams. He remarked that international competitions benefit from full participation and that opting out would only be a disadvantage for any side.

The remarks reflect a focus on sporting competition and team spirit, with Yadav emphasising preparation, performance, and the broader value of participation in international sports.
