Deputy Chief Minister Eknath Shinde on Tuesday hailed the victory of NDA candidate C.P. Radhakrishnan in the Vice Presidential election, describing it as a proud moment for the people of Maharashtra.
Expressing joy over the result, Shinde said, “I am very proud and happy. It is also a matter of pride for all the people of Maharashtra because C.P. Radhakrishnan has served as the Governor of the state. We have received his valuable guidance during that period, and now he has reached the position of Vice President while being associated with Maharashtra. This is a proud moment for all of us.”
Shinde also acknowledged the role of Dr. Shrikant Shinde, MP, in the election process. “I thank Prime Minister Narendra Modi for entrusting responsibility to Dr. Shrikant Shinde in these elections,” he added.
Highlighting the scale of support for Radhakrishnan, the Deputy CM noted that the NDA candidate secured victory with a margin of 152 votes over the INDIA alliance nominee. “This result clearly shows that people have placed their trust in Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s leadership and have given priority to Vice President C.P. Radhakrishnan, appreciating his work and contribution,” Shinde remarked.
The victory of C.P. Radhakrishnan, a seasoned leader with experience as both parliamentarian and Governor, is seen as further consolidating the NDA’s position while bringing recognition to Maharashtra’s association with his political journey.
