PM Modi Accuses TMC and Congress of Appeasement Politics in North Malda Rally

Prime Minister Narendra Modi, in a public rally here, accused the Trinamool Congress (TMC) and the Congress of practicing appeasement politics. He claimed that both parties are pretending to be in conflict in the state, but their character and ideology are the same.

“Appeasement is the common thing between TMC and Congress, for which they can do anything and everything,” said PM Modi. He further alleged that these parties want to revoke each and every decision taken by his government for the safety of the country.

The INDI alliance wants to revoke Article 370, while TMC says it will abolish the Citizenship Amendment Act (CAA). PM Modi pointed out that many beneficiaries of the CAA include Dalits, who TMC and Congress want to reject for the sake of appeasement.

The Congress has declared it will investigate all assets of the poor people. “They have brought an X-ray machine from abroad and will conduct an X-ray of everyone in the country,” PM Modi stated. He added that they want to seize all assets, including jewellery and property, and give a part of it to their vote bank.

“But TMC did not speak a word against it and is supporting it by staying quiet,” he said. PM Modi also accused TMC of settling illegal immigrants from Bangladesh in the state by giving them lands belonging to the locals. He claimed that Congress is talking about giving away the wealth of the locals to this vote bank.

PM Modi ended his speech with a warning, “Congress’ loot will continue ‘Zindagi ke saath bhi, zindagi ke baad bhi’ (with life and even after life).”

The rally was part of the ongoing political campaign in the state. The accusations made by PM Modi are expected to intensify the political battle in West Bengal.
